(My 8 weeks transformation following a strict diet & smart supplementation)

So How did it all start?

Before diving into the boring details of how and why The Aesthetic Revolution came to life let me first tell you a bit about myself. My name is John and for years I really struggled when it came to building high quality muscle mass. Now, I wasn’t particularly a skinny guy to start off with, I mean I had a decent frame, so whenever the bulking or cutting season would begin I would always find myself either too buffed (if such thing is even possible) and fat at the same time or just not big enough.

Don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t a complete beginner either so I knew how things were working when it came to diet and my workout routine. I knew what I was doing. I was busting my ass off in the gym, writing down every step of the way in my little workout-protocol to track the progress, eating well and slamming protein supplements and mass gainers down like there was no tomorrow. I was also counting my macros to make sure my body got sufficient nutrients to build muscles.

Heck I was even considering taking steroids. I remember binge reading about Primobolan & Anavar cycles thinking that this was the answer.

Needless to say my overall progress was just brutally slow..and when I mean slow, it was really s…l…o…w

Now, there are many ways you can build high quality muscle mass and lose fat the natural way and most programs and diet plans can do just that but at the end of the day our bodies react differently to diets and training so what it all comes down to is what works best for you. It’s as simple as that.

If you follow this principle when it comes to gaining muscles and getting that lean and ripped physique like my favorite fitness idol Zyzz:

…you’ve already won half of the battle right here. But with that being said it’s not an easy task.

There are so many variables involved in achieving your physique goals. Take for example your diet, workout routine and hormone levels affected by your everyday life. Cortisol which is a hormone that your body releases whenever you are stressed out is a real dream killer. It basically tells your body to go into a catabolic state (the opposite of anabolic state) breaking down your hard earned muscle mass.

Cortisol and insulin can also have an effect on your appetite and cravings. Now what do we crave the most in those situations? Chickenand broccoli? Nope! It’s almost always Sugar and junk food and we all know what those things do to our bodies and fitness goals, right?

Your Diet and Macro requirements could be on point, you could be busting your ass off in the gym and NOT getting the gains you deserve!

To make things even worse you’ve probably found yourself scrolling through your Instagram newsfeed seeing how some of these ripped and shredded dudes are posting pictures after pictures after their “6 weeks of cutting-program” getting all the attention from the opposite sex with their lean and flat six packs.

And then you think to yourself:

“Why are these dudes able to get results that fast, when I’ve been working out for years, busting my ass off in the gym, getting enough rest and nutrients and still getting mediocre results?”

….Let me tell you something, this is not your fault and I know how you feel! Because that was literally me 9 months ago.

Now I know that it’s not all of us who have the time to dedicate to working out and preparing our meals. As I said above, it’s not an easy task to get in the best shape of your life, and we have so many other responsibilities to focus on everyday like school, work, the kids or family.

It’s not uncommon to have a semi busy schedule like mine:

  • Prepare my meals for the day– Check
  • Go to the gym – Check
  • Write down my lifts in a diary – Check
  • Go to work – Check
  • Buy groceries – Check
  • Spend time with my girlfriend – Check
  • Make sure I go to bed early – Check
  • Make sure I meditate to relieve stress– Check

All this while having other daily commitments!

Most of us simply do not have the time for this and if you’re cutting calories in your diet, your energy levels will be sapped during the day making it even harder to stick to.

Even if you are very disciplined individual and nail all the above correctly, you might just be getting average results and progressing really slow like I was. What’s the outcome of this? YOU GIVE UP!

You probably think this is too hard to stick to, and simply not worth your sweat. Add to that it’s expensive to eat healthy, your family, friends or girlfriend is having a go at you because you’re too picky when it comes to your diet and what you eat. All this effort you put in is just not worth it for the minimal and mediocre results you’re getting in return.

That’s where smart supplementation comes into play.

To be honest with you guys I wasn’t really a huge fan of supplements before. I’ve always thought of supplements as a waste of money. Why drink protein supplements and mass gainers when I already met my macros through my diet?
